At the end of March we had a visit from Stephen, Libby, and James. I took hardly any pictures, unfortunately. But we did have a fun time. Well I don’t know how much fun Stephen had, getting the second part of a root canal done, but anywho. The kids and I went the children’s museum with Libby while the big boys were skiing/snowboarding.

And the Cutie Patoot:

We got a package with those dissolvable packing peanuts inside. So I let the boys have some messy fun. It was all over too quickly.

Yes, this is an update. No, I will not promise to update more often. Most, if not all of you have given up on me, but I thought I’d get around to documenting some family history. That’s why I’m going back to December. Life keeps getting busier and busier so I’m overwhelmingly behind! We just had a fun trip to Hawaii, and we are moving to a different house this month. I will post pictures of those events someday. Our home computer is out of comission right now, so I’ll wait until it’s fixed before I add to the pictures page. This post may leave you unsatisfied, because I just got updated through March, but now it’s 1:00 am and I’m tired! I’d say stay tuned, but it may be another 6 months before you hear from me again. Wah hah hah hah.

Seth and Connor were really into the movie Kung Fu Panda for a while this past winter. One morning we were getting ready to head out the door. I had Claire’s hood up to keep her warm. Seth said, “she’s like Kung Fu Panda!” I agreed. Then at some point in the car, Claire was getting fussy and Seth reaches over to her and asks, “what’s wrong, Little Panda?” It was so cute. Don’t you love big brothers?

Connor asked for seconds at dinner time! Joe was at a meeting that night (end of January sometime), so I made dinner simple. We had baked potatoes with chili and peas. He ate everything (okay, most of the potato) and asked for more! (He’s a picky eater, except at breakfast…why can’t we eat cereal all day long?) I was so excited I took some video of it too. Don’t know if I’ll ever get that uploaded. The best part is this took me no time to make, thanks to the microwave.

Here are the kids on Valentine’s Day. We had a fun valentine exchange at our church play group. Seth and Connor decorated their boxes beforehand. They loved getting their goodies. At home they would take them all out, and ask me who each valentine was from. Then they’d put them all back in. And we’d repeat that process several times for a few days.

This is Claire giving me a Lifetouch pose…you know like they make you tilt your head for school pictures. (I had to clarify because Joseph didn’t remember Lifetouch). Anyway, I can’t believe I had a camera in my hand when she gave me that look. Don’t you want to pinch those cheeks? I know I’m gushing but she is such a fun baby. She always gets excited when I come into the room. What a pick-me-up! We are so blessed to have this girl in our home.
She is 5 months old in this picture. She’ll be eight months this week. My, how the time has flown by!

Sending the boys to Sunbeams was the event I was worried about most at the beginning of the year. They were barely three and I knew they wouldn’t be as ready as the older 3-year-olds. But they really adjusted well. They are so good at sitting and listening. We heard “I want to go to ‘ursery!” for a few weeks, but they really like Sunbeams, and love their teacher.

Seems like a long time ago now. The boys turned 3 on December 29th. We were between family visits, so it was just us. We took them to McDonald’s and they played around for a while. It was fun. Of course we had more present opening during each family visit. Those boys are spoiled. I wonder when they’ll catch on that their birthday is really only one day a year, and no one else gets to open presents for 4-5 days at Christmastime!

I made their cake while family was in town. They talked about it for several weeks afterward. Every few days one or the other would say, “we ate my birthday, huh?”

We had a great Christmas. It’s the first year we’ve been able to spend the holiday at home as a family. We were also able to host my entire family for Christmas at our house. Then most of Joe’s family visited us for New Year’s. Lots of fun was had, especially by Seth and Connor.
This is the darling picture we had taken with Santa at the mall. Our picture with Santa at the ward Christmas party didn’t turn out so great. I’ll post it on the pictures page after we get our desktop computer up and running again.
